We are seeking a Mid/Senior Application Developer to design, build, and support AI-enabled applications for a federal financial agency. This role combines new development with ongoing operations and support, and is well suited for a hands-on engineer in a client-facing product team. The ideal candidate brings strong Python experience and a proven ability to learn new tools, frameworks, and cloud services quickly.

• Build and support AI applications and backend services in Python
• Develop APIs using FastAPI where appropriate
• Contribute to both new feature development and O&M/support
• Work with LLM-based applications and general AI tooling
• Integrate with AWS services and cloud-native components as needed
• Support data flows using S3 and PostgreSQL/RDS
• Troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and collaborate with product, engineering, and client stakeholders

• Strong professional experience with Python development
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
• Ability to work East Coast hours
• Ability to work hybrid in Vienna, VA, or remotely

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with FastAPI
• Exposure to EKS, SQS, Bedrock, S3, or PostgreSQL/RDS
• Experience building or supporting LLM applications or AI tooling
• Experience in federal, regulated, or client-facing environments
