Pre-School Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: BALLINASCREEN EARLY YEARSThe Pre-School Assistant will work as part of the pre-school team to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Pre-School Leader and give support to other personnel within the setting.

• Working as part of team with other members of staff to attend to the children’s needs.
• Planning, setting up and evaluating on children’s daily activities.
• Taking part in any core training needs.
• Cleaning pre-school and ensuring a healthy environment.
• Conducting observations and planning on how to best meet the needs of the child.
• Promoting communication with parents and other professionals.

• Have a minimum level 3 in children’s care, learning and development.
• 2 years recent work experience within a pre-school setting.
• Working with children with additional needs.
• Safeguarding and child protection, food hygiene and health and safety training.
