• Have full responsibility and take a lead in the day to day running and oversight of the home.
• Have full responsibility for the children and their welfare day to day, ensuring our therapeutic methods are being implemented at all times.
• Have a full and active role in the recruitment of a staff team.
• Give full support to the staff team to ensure they are competent in delivering the highest standard of care.
• Deliver consistent high quality care and meet all Ofsted requirements.
• Develop and encourage a fun and nurturing environment for the children and a progressive and coherent environment for the staff.
• Oversee all safeguarding within the home and act as the home’s safeguarding lead.

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a children's residential home.
• Experience in developing care plans that Depp to individual needs, particularly for children with complex needs.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with families and staff.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services as a minimum.
• Experience in implementing therapeutic care.
• Experience of safeguarding and liaising with multi‑agency teams.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a supervisory position within residential children’s care.

• Qualifications include NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or willingness to work towards).
• Qualifications and prior experience in implementing therapeutic models of care.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is necessary.
