Fostering Social Worker - Dorset Kinship Fostering Team

About the Role:

As a Fostering Social Worker within the Kinship Fostering Team, you will:
Undertake assessments and identify risks to ensure children's safety within kinship care arrangements.
Develop and review child-centred plans that promote stability, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with kinship carers, extended families, and multi-agency partners.
Manage a varied caseload, lead on strategy discussions and case conferences, and prepare high‑quality reports for court where necessary.
Champion positive outcomes and help maintain safe, nurturing family environments.

Requirements

We're seeking skilled, compassionate practitioners with:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration
Experience in Fostering
Strong analytical, assessment, and report‑writing abilities
Confidence in risk‑based decision‑making
A commitment to trauma-informed and relationship‑based practice
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
