Milford Del Support Services is recruiting dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Support Workers to join our Ofsted-regulated Children’s Residential Complex Care services.

About the RoleAs a Children’s Residential Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide consistent, high-quality care and support in accordance with each child’s care plan, placement plan, and risk assessments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing safe, nurturing, and structured care to children and young people
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children at all times
Supporting children with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
Promoting independence, confidence, and life skills
Building positive, trusting, and professional relationships with children and young people
Supporting children to engage in education, health appointments, and community activities
Following behaviour support plans and using trained, therapeutic approaches
Maintaining clear, accurate, and timely records in line with Ofsted and organisational requirements
Supporting children during times of distress in a calm, safe, and appropriate manner
Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, social workers, and other professionals
Contributing to a safe, stable, and supportive home environment
You will be expected to work in line with safeguarding legislation, Ofsted regulations, and Milford Del Support Services policies and procedures.
Essential RequirementsA minimum of 1 year’s experience supporting children or young people
, either in a professional setting or through relevant personal experiencePrevious experience working in a care or support role
, with a good understanding of person-centred careA strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Ability to build positive, appropriate, and professional relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries
Emotional resilience and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Good written and verbal communication skills, including accurate record keeping
Ability to follow care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care
Willingness to complete all mandatory and regulatory training
Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting
Experience supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this, as required by regulation)
Full UK driving licence
Full-time, permanent contract
