Team Leader Role - Residential Childrens Home, Y'Benarth - 4 Bed EBD (Llanfairfechan, North Wales LL33)

• 2:4 Rota 40hrs contract
• £35,366.93
• Overtime rate £13.67 +1/4

This home supports young people with EBD (low-risk behaviours) and provides a nurturing alternative to foster care, focusing on stability, structure, and positive outcomes.

You will report directly to the Registered Manager and play a key role in leading shifts and maintaining high standards of care.

This role includes shift work on a 2 on / 4 off rota, including sleep-in shifts, within a 40-hour contract.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Lead shifts and support staff to deliver care aligned to placement plans
• Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers
• Support care planning and review processes
• Maintain safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance
• Build strong partnerships with families, schools, and professionals
• Support daily operations, records, and reporting
• Promote positive behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
• Act as a role model and ensure consistent boundaries and expectations

Essential:

• Minimum 1 year residential childcare experience
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
• Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
• Ability to lead by example and maintain professional boundaries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• IT confident (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Calm, resilient, and adaptable
• Flexible to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Desirable:
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
• Previous supervisory experience
• Knowledge of residential childcare regulations and Ofsted standards

• £35,366.93 per year
• Overtime paid at £13.67 + ¼ enhancement
