Job Overview
St Andrews Nursery – Early Years Support Worker
£15.97 – 16.29 / £16.65 – 16.99 per hour (includes Distant Islands Allowance).
£29,148 – 29,732 / 30,389 – 31,009 pro rata.
17.5 hours per week, term time. Temporary until 30 November 2026.
Responsibilities- Work with young children in a structured context.
- Provide energetic, thoughtful support as part of a caring, learning team.
- Appointment at D:
Good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy; complete a relevant qualification to allow registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children) within 3 years. - Appointment at E:
Hold a recognised qualification enabling registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker (Day Care of Children), e.g. NC in Early Education and Child Care, SVQ Level 2; register with the SSSC within 6 months and maintain registration.
Subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
