Morning & After School Supervisor (Whickham)

£14.95 per hour, Monday to Friday, 7:15 am – 8:45 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (4.5 hours per day). Permanent opportunity.

My client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast Club and After‑School Club Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day.

• Supervise and support children during breakfast club and after‑school sessions.
• Organise and lead age‑appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks and refreshments.
• Ensure the safety, well‑being, and inclusion of all children.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Caring, patient, and approachable nature.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

• Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or
  3).
• First Aid qualification.
• Experience planning activities for children.
