Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: Thurnby, Leicester.
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover, (With the possibility this could lead to a permanent role at one of our Nursey’s).
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm.
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum + Annual salary reviews and bonus opportunities.

About the Nursery: Bobble wood offers a true home from home environment, set within a beautiful Character building with a large garden for children to explore and enjoy. Our ethos centres around play, creativity and giving children the freedom to learn through meaningful, hands‑on experiences. Children benefit from a wide range of learning opportunities, including heuristic play and daily woodland learning. We have our own log cabin within the garden, along with dedicated woodland learning areas, where children can explore nature, develop new skills and enjoy outdoor learning experiences every day.
Your Role: We’re looking for a passionate Nursery Manager to lead our wonderful Bobble wood Nursery and inspire a team that is committed to giving every child the very best start. As Nursery Manager, you will:
- Lead the day‑to‑day running of the nursery
- Inspire, support, and develop your team to deliver outstanding practice
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain exceptional standards of care, learning, safeguarding, and compliance
- Promote the nursery to prospective families and support occupancy growth
- Create a warm, positive, and inclusive nursery environment where children and staff thrive
What we’re looking for:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- An approved/full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
- At least three years experience working within an early years setting or other suitable experience
- Proven experience leading, supporting and motivating a nursery team
