Nursery Housekeeper – Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Preschool

Location: Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Preschool, Andover
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 6:00pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and friendly Nursery Housekeeper to join our wonderful team at Finkley Down Farm Nursery & Preschool
.

Set within the unique surroundings of Finkley Down Farm, our nursery provides children with an exciting environment where they can learn, explore and develop through play, nature, animals and their experiences on the farm.

As our Nursery Housekeeper, you will play an important role in ensuring that our nursery remains a clean, safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for our children, families and staff.

• Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.

• Cleaning children's rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, staff areas and other nursery facilities.

• Completing daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks.

• Responding promptly to spills, accidents and unexpected cleaning requirements.

• Safely using cleaning products and equipment in line with COSHH and nursery procedures.

• Ensuring cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored safely and securely away from children.

• Supporting effective infection prevention and control procedures.

• Identifying and reporting any health and safety concerns or maintenance issues.

• Working alongside the nursery team to ensure the environment remains safe and welcoming.

• Helping to maintain the high standards expected across our unique farm-based nursery.

• Following all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality.

• Reliable, punctual and organised.

• Proud of their work and takes care in maintaining high standards.

• Able to work independently and manage their own workload.

• Flexible and able to respond to changing priorities.

• Comfortable working around young children and within a busy nursery environment.

• A positive and friendly team player.

• Health and safety conscious.

• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues.

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
