Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Port Gaverne

The 17th-century Port Gaverne Hotel is nestled in a beautiful, secluded cove near Port Isaac on North Cornwall's dramatic coast. Relax in our traditional old bar with slate floors, wooden beams and a wide range of proper ales served alongside seasonal, quality food inspired by the bounty on our doorstep. The Port Gaverne has 15 ensuite rooms, each individually furnished. Please note, our rooms are situated on two floors of the building and because the building is very old, we do not have access to an elevator.

All rooms are accessible via a narrow, steep staircase with low ceilings, keeping the natural beauty of the place intact. The beautiful, peaceful North Cornwall Heritage Coast is on our doorstep, with the beach just moments away.

Part-time opportunity! Do you want to work in a fun, fast-paced environment as part of a talented team? Join us as one of our bar or waiting team and you’ll be joining passionate people who do much more than serve and pour; you’ll enjoy building relationships with our regulars whilst providing memorable experiences to delight our visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a bar or waiting team, serving and pouring drinks while building relationships with regulars and visitors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the premises.
  • Keep the front of house running seamlessly.
Benefits
  • 30% off food and drink and 50% off overnight stays in our pubs
  • Discount scheme across hundreds of retailers
  • In-house training programmes to support progression and learning
  • Meal provided for shifts over 6 hours
  • Family-friendly, flexible working
  • Paid time off to volunteer
Qualities
  • Are passionate about creating a warm welcome for everyone
  • Take pride in keeping everywhere clean and tidy
  • Are key to keeping our front of house running seamlessly

St Austell Brewery is an Equal Opportunities employer, and we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates, regardless of age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital/civil partnership status, or pregnancy and maternity.
