We are expanding our housekeeping team due to refurbishment of the hotel. We have morning, afternoon, and evening shifts across a 7‑day week. We are flexible and aim to make sure that the number of hours worked and shift patterns fit around our team's personal lives.
Successful candidates will ensure that there are high standards of cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail at all times in our guest bedrooms and public areas.
AboutThe Role Primary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all bedrooms, corridors, function rooms and public areas are maintained.
- Perform the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. This includes changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, damp mopping and damp dusting daily. Deep cleaning of rooms.
- Ensure the upkeep of vacant rooms.
- Replenish brochures, paper goods and consumables throughout the bedrooms and the hotel.
- Maintain the laundry, storerooms, and cart/carry‑tray.
- Collect, charge and return guest laundry to the guest in a speedy and accurate fashion.
- Log and store any guest property left behind in a secure location for lost property.
- Refer guest problems or complaints to the Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Action maintenance requests in order to comply with the hotel’s established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inform the Head Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor of any additional supplies and items needed.
- Attend any appropriate off‑ and on‑the‑job training courses.
- Always wear a clean and suitable uniform and name badge.
- Implement the hotel’s good customer relations policy, including politely addressing every guest you meet and directing all guests where appropriate.
Carrying out any other duties as may be reasonably required by Management and/or Housekeeping Manager.
Required Criteria- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Good communication skills.
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Must be able to work to deadlines.
- Previous cleaning experience.
- 6 months housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.

Salary:
From £8.50 Hourly to £12.75 Hourly
