Overview
This small but mighty team forms the backbone of our culinary operations. As a Kitchen Steward, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency across all culinary, food and beverage and back-of-house areas. You will play a vital role in supporting the setup, service and breakdown of events across our unique venues, including the Castle Kitchens, the Kenmore Hotel, the Outdoor Kitchen at the Grouse House, the Wild Kitchen on the banks of the River Tay, the stunning Glenlyon Estate and private dining experiences in the Lairds Hall.

As a Kitchen Steward, you are essential to creating the seamless, memorable experiences that define our guest offering. You will help ensure that every environment whether guest-facing or behind the scenes is maintained to the same exceptional standards of cleanliness, attention to detail, warmth, and care. You take huge pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation across all kitchen and food service areas, ensuring the meticulous care, handling, and storage of equipment, fine tableware, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen linen.
Supporting the culinary team in delivering seamless food and beverage service across all dining experiences, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, events, and room service, while proactively managing stock, maintaining immaculate preparation areas, and contributing to the smooth operation of the estate.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and delivering the highest standards of luxury hospitality while demonstrating passion and flare in the pursuit of service excellence.
We respect people, places, and culture and as an Ambassador of Taymouth Castle – spokesperson, advocate, and supporter. Be actively involved in day-to-day operations through observance and collaborating proactively with team members across our wide range of facilities. Contribute to departmental and wider business meetings where necessary.
Based within the castle or at various locations throughout the estate. Although much of your time will be spent indoors, some events may be hosted outdoors. This role can involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
