Housekeeping Porter (Night Shift)  12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Salary:  £29,000 £ 30,000 per annum + Service Charge (£4,000 £ 6,000 per year)

Hours:

4 nights per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) | 10:30pm  9:00am

Contract:

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover) with potential opportunity to become permanent.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced  Housekeeping Porter  to join the housekeeping team at a prestigious 5-star hotel in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous luxury hotel experience who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards throughout the hotel.
Working as part of the night housekeeping team, you will support the smooth running of the department by ensuring linen operations, housekeeping back-of-house areas, staff facilities and service areas are kept clean, organised and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all housekeeping back-of-house areas, linen rooms and staff facilities are kept clean, organised and well maintained.
Manage the movement, storage and distribution of linen, towels and housekeeping supplies throughout the hotel.
Deliver clean linen and collect used linen from housekeeping floors and designated service areas.
Maintain accurate organisation and stock levels within linen rooms and housekeeping storage areas.
Assist with loading, unloading and organising linen deliveries.
Prepare housekeeping trolleys and ensure teams have the required supplies for daily operations.
Support room attendants and housekeeping supervisors with operational requests during the night shift.
Remove waste, recycling and used materials from housekeeping areas in line with hotel procedures.
Assist with general cleaning duties across back-of-house areas, including staff facilities, service corridors and housekeeping spaces.
Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored correctly and safely.
Report any maintenance issues, shortages or operational concerns to the Night Manager.
Communicate effectively with the Night Manager and wider housekeeping team.
Use hotel systems and applications where required (full training provided).
Work independently during night shifts while ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the hotel's luxury standards.

About You:

Previous experience working in a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment is preferred.

Experience with in a housekeeping department is highly desirable.
Good level of English communication skills.
Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
Comfortable working night shifts and managing responsibilities independently.
Shift Pattern:
4 nights per week.
10:30pm  9:00am.
Working days:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
3 consecutive days off each week.
1-hour break per shift.
