General Manager, Bowfield Hotel & Spa

Our General Managers will lead, guide and coach the brilliant team we have in our venues. Working daily to offer support and guidance, and finding ways to make hospitality better for them.

• Oversee all departments
• Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and guest service standards are consistently met
• Handle escalated guest complaints or issues that department managers can't resolve
• Ensure health, safety, and fire standards are met
• Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure standards are always kept high
• Work closely with the Operations Director and the wider Support Team to continually seek little improvements that make a big difference
• Own the hotel's P&L - responsible for meeting revenue targets and controlling costs
• Set and monitor budgets across departments including payroll & recruitment
• Hire, train, and manage department heads - who in turn will take care of their teams
• Oversee people matters - disciplinary issues, promotions, payroll levels
• Ensure culture is based around team satisfaction with regular reviews and feedback
• Ensure all legal compliance training is completed within the hotel

• Personally engage with VIP guests, loyalty members, or wedding clients
• Handle escalated guest complaints or issues that department managers cannot resolve on their own
• Take pride and ownership of the overall upkeep in the hotel - reporting any issues to maintenance and ensure the team keep on top of the expected standards
• Drive occupancy and revenue growth
• Build relationships with clients, event planners, external suppliers

The job duties are not exhaustive and any related operational activities would fall under your remit.

We are looking for an individual who loves the hospitality industry and has worked at a General Managers position or similar level. We want someone who genuinely cares for their team and wants them to succeed just as much as the business does!

Salary starting from £60,000 and dependent on experience
