Jackson Fire and Security is expanding the Swindon team. With over 30 years of experience, NSI Gold accreditation, and BAFE‑registered engineers, we deliver trusted fire and security solutions across the UK, including fire alarms, extinguishers, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, emergency lighting and more.

As a Fire and Security Systems Engineer, your days will vary: servicing fire extinguishers, fire panels, or carrying out full takeovers of new customer sites. You’ll manage your own diary, booking work directly with customers and enjoy real flexibility. The role is Monday to Friday, 8am‑5pm, with occasional flexibility required and on‑call duties. You’ll cover Swindon (SN postcode area) with occasional nearby travel for national accounts.

Work independently, supported by the Branch Director, the wider Jackson network and Head Office Support Team.

• Install, service and maintain fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting and fire doors.
• Install, service and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
• Carry out full service takeovers for new customers, testing and recording all systems.
• Plan and manage your own diary, booking work directly with customers.
• Deliver consistently high standard of customer service, building trust and long‑term relationships.
• Ensure all work is carried out to NSI Gold standards and in line with compliance requirements.
• Complete documentation and reports accurately using the company tablet and software systems.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (shared with the Branch Director) and attend occasional call‑outs.
• Support the growth of the business by maintaining professionalism and representing the Jackson brand.

• Previous experience in fire and/or security systems engineering (installation, servicing, maintenance).
• Knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control or emergency lighting.
• Excellent customer service skills – building trust is paramount.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time, and complete jobs thoroughly.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based in the SN postcode area (Swindon) or nearby.
