Precast Formwork Carpenter

We're looking for a detail-oriented Precast Formwork Carpenter to join our clients team! If you take pride in precision, quality finishes, and working in a hands-on environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the accurate fabrication and preparation of plywood and steel formwork to ensure high-quality precast concrete panels. Your day-to-day duties will include :

  • Fabricating plywood formwork to architectural and dimensional specs.
  • Ensuring all joins are seamless and finishes are smooth.
  • Coordinating with engineers on steel formwork requirements.
  • Verifying steel formwork availability and accuracy.
  • Overseeing deck preparation and layout using shop drawings.
  • Squaring panels and checking all measurements (±2mm tolerance).
  • Applying silicone sealant, form release, and retarder (if specified).
  • Overseeing placement of reinforcing steel cages, chairs, and cast-in items.
  • Coordinating pre-pour inspections and assisting with concrete pours.
  • Supervising stripping and cleaning of formwork post-pour.

Completing any other tasks as delegated by the Foreman / Manager, including cross-divisional assignments as needed.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in precast or formwork carpentry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical / shop drawings.
  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on, on-site work.

A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus If You Have
  • Experience working with magnetic formwork systems.
  • Familiarity with concrete placement and finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
