John Deere Service Technician

Overview

Following growth in the business, Tallis Amos Group in Narberth are looking to appoint a new agricultural service technician to be based in the field, working in partnership with the farming community of Pembrokeshire. The role will involve working on some of the latest and greatest John Deere and franchised machinery at the bleeding edge of agricultural technology to help keep Welsh farmers moving and to support Welsh food security.

The role will involve work on both customer sites and in the local depot performing breakdown repairs as well as routine service.

• Perform breakdown repairs and routine service on agricultural machinery at customer sites and in the depot.
• Fault finding and diagnostics on large and complex machinery such as slurry equipment, foragers, cultivators or drills, in addition to tractor repair and service.
• Maintain eye for detail and adaptability; improvise as needed to complete work to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with customers, often in challenging circumstances.

• Previous experience working on diesel engines and transmissions.
• Understanding of agricultural machinery.
• Basic IT competency.

• Up to £40k plus uncapped OTE, bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
• Overtime at 1.5x for 40 hours+, 2x for Sundays and Bank Holidays.
• Company vehicle, phone and laptop provided, plus specialist diagnostic equipment.
