Location: Swan Valley
Are you an experienced Resident Engineer with a background in servicing and repairing forklift batteries and chargers? Do you enjoy working on-site, building strong working relationships, and providing hands-on engineering support? If so, we want to hear from you.
We are currently recruiting for a Resident Engineer to support operations across two customer sites in Northampton. This is a site-based role (not field service), offering stability, structured working hours, and the opportunity to work closely with customers while delivering essential maintenance and repair services.

Monday - Friday (Days)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE) + Company Van, Equipment, Company Benefits & Training Opportunities

Duties:
Service, maintain, and repair forklift batteries and battery charging equipment
Carry out routine battery maintenance including cleaning, topping up, and inspections
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure equipment remains operational
Provide on-site engineering support and maintain strong customer relationships
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
Support preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime
Work closely with internal service teams to coordinate support when required
Maintain company equipment and ensure safe working practices at all times
The Ideal Candidate Must:
Have proven experience servicing and repairing forklift batteries and chargers
Have strong electrical or electro-mechanical knowledge
Be confident working independently on customer sites
Have strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Be organised, reliable, and customer focused
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have experience within MHE, battery, or materials handling environments (preferred)
Be comfortable completing service documentation and using basic IT systems
