About the role…

Based from out depot in Somerset, you will be part of a skilled team of operatives undertaking all civil engineering tasks primarily associated with Openreach frame and cover contract and drainage works but including all works required of our client contracts.

As a Ground Worker you will…

Responsible for civil engineering tasks completed on site.

Responsible for producing high quality results, reports, and feedback

Ensure compliance with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment

Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.

Ensure all site related incidents are reported.

Identify and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate..

Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.

You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK

About you…

Experienced in a range of civil engineering tasks, including manual and mechanical excavations, reinstatement works, plant and machinery operation, manual handling, manhole entry and exit, and shoring. Holds a full driving licence,

First Aid at Work

Machine ticket (excavator above/below 10t) – desirable

Openreach MA003 – Online Course

Openreach SA006 – Safe Working In Civils

Openreach Q24 – Frame & Cover Renewal in Carriageway

Openreach Q25 – Frame & Cover Renewal in Footway
