Panel Electrician / Tester – Derby

£25 - £27 p/h

This business is a specialist manufacturer of high precision machinery. As well as working with globally recognised clients, it has had steady turnovers for many years. They are now looking to expand and require a Panel Wireman to join them on a long‑term contract.

• Conduct continuity, insulation, and functional tests on panels.
• Verify correct operation of relays, contractors, drives, and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot wiring faults and faulty components.
• Connect and test panels with PLCs or automation systems.
• Document test results and report faults.

• Strong understanding of electrical circuits and panel testing.
• Experience with PLCs, drives, and safety circuits advantageous.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Electrical qualifications desirable (18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).

• Competitive hourly rates (£25 - £27 p/h).
• Immediate start.
• Realistic chance of contract extension.
