The Opportunity

As a Lead AV Technician, you'll take ownership of installations from survey through to handover-leading on-site delivery, guiding engineers, and ensuring exceptional quality across every project.

You'll play a critical role in bringing immersive AV environments to life, working with modern systems including video over IP, control systems, and integrated digital displays.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond standard installs and become a trusted technical lead on complex, multi-site projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and deliver end-to-end AV installations across client sites nationwide
• Conduct technical site surveys and contribute to system design input
• Install, configure and commission audio-visual systems (from first fix to final handover)
• Take the lead on-site-managing engineers and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and to spec
• Provide programming and commissioning support (audio, lighting, control systems)
• Troubleshoot technical issues and adapt to live site challenges
• Deliver client-facing service visits and maintain key relationships
• Support the growth of the installation team through mentoring and onboarding engineers

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a hands-on AV professional who is ready to step up or already operating at a senior level:

Essential

• 3+ years' experience in professional AV installation environments
• Strong technical knowledge across:
• Digital displays (LED/LCD, video walls)
• Video conferencing & collaboration tech
• Video over IP / AV distribution systems
• Experience leading or taking ownership of on-site installations
• Confident working in a client-facing role
• Solid understanding of networking in AV environments
• Full UK driving licence

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Q-SYS, Biamp, Crestron or similar control systems
• Knowledge of audio DSP and system programming
• ECS/CSCS card
• IPAF / PASMA certifications
• First Aid qualification
