We are excited to offer a permanent plumber role in HMP Featherstone, part of the Ministry of Justice account delivering critical facilities management services for prisons. The standard hours are 39 hours per week. Staff work on a rota basis from 07:45 to 16:45, with a requirement to work one weekend in four, for which an additional allowance of 15 per cent of basic salary is paid.
The base salary ranges between £30,866 and £36,135, depending on experience.
What You Will Do- Routine and non‑routine maintenance
- Mains water supply repairs
- Fault finding, identification of life‑expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults
- Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
- NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance
- Experience operating light plant
- Legionella awareness and compliance desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in a commercial environment
