NY Highways is growing and we’re looking for talented, motivated individuals to join our teams across the county. We are recruiting for:

• Ganger (Team Leader) – from £34,796
• Highly Skilled Craftsperson – £32,433
• Skilled Operative (Lead 2 Person Crew) – from £30,273
• Skilled Operative with LGV Licence – from £30,273

Across these roles, you’ll be involved in maintaining and improving North Yorkshire’s highways network, including:

• Kerbing, drainage, paving and patching works
• Installation and repair of street furniture
• Traffic management and site safety
• Operating machinery, plant and vehicles (including LGV where applicable)
• Leading teams and delivering projects (for senior/lead roles)
• Supporting winter maintenance and emergency response

• Experience in highways, construction or civil engineering
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to train (e.g. traffic management, plant, safety)
• LGV (Category
  
  C) licence (for LGV roles)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A proactive, safety-first approach
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and take part in out-of-hours rotas
