Commercial Gas Engineer

Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established mechanical contractor based in Liverpool. This is a permanent opportunity working across a range of public sector contracts including schools, healthcare facilities, and local authority buildings throughout the North West. The role offers local work with very little travel, a supportive team environment, and excellent long-term career prospects.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems

* Servicing, fault finding, and repairing commercial heating plant and associated equipment

* Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime

* Completing all relevant service reports and compliance documentation

* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with current regulations

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients on site

* Participating in a 1-in-5 call-out rota

Skills and Qualifications Required

* Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer

* Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications

* Experience servicing and maintaining commercial heating systems

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Excellent communication and customer service skills
