Position: General Farm Worker (Livestock Assistant)
Location: Nocton

Requirements

Sheep Enterprise (Initial Focus)
  • Support the day‑to‑day management and welfare of the sheep flock during the wind‑down period
  • Assist with handling, movement, and health treatments
  • Maintain high welfare and biosecurity standards throughout the exit phase
  • Work alongside the wider team to ensure a smooth and efficient transition out of sheep production
Transition to Cattle (Future Focus)
  • Progress into supporting cattle husbandry operations as the business focus shifts
  • Assist with feeding, health checks, handling, and general care of cattle
  • Develop knowledge of cattle systems, welfare standards, and performance monitoring
  • Contribute to the ongoing success and development of the Lincs Cattle enterprise
Skills & Experience
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely (training provided where required)
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock and farm activities
  • Ensure high standards of health & safety are always followed
  • Work collaboratively within the wider farming team
  • Support other farm activities as required, demonstrating flexibility across the business
What We're Looking For
  • Practical livestock experience (sheep, cattle, or mixed farming preferred)
  • A flexible and agile approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Positive attitude towards learning new systems and developing skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
  • Good awareness of animal welfare standards
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
