Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable multi‑franchise dealership group in Hay-on‑Wye, Powys.

• Salary up to £41,000 per annum, dependent on experience – £3,600 annual bonus potential through team and individual schemes
• Overtime paid at 1.5x rate

• Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm, paid at time and a half

• Perform mechanical repairs and servicing, from routine maintenance to clutch and engine work on cars and 4x4s
• Conduct used car preparations and pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) in accordance with company procedures
• Accurately diagnose faults and document repairs
• Maintain high health and safety standards within the workshop
• Complete all paperwork thoroughly and accurately
• Work as part of a small team under the supervision of the Service Manager

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 / IMI in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum
• UK driving licence with minimal points
• A detail‑oriented, motivated team player capable of producing high‑quality work in busy workshop conditions
• Vehicle Technicians with an active MOT licence or experience with 4x4 vehicles are highly desirable but not essential
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and meeting targets
