Mechanical vehicle inspector Kenect Recruitment Rochester
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Inspector to join a busy team based in, Kent. This role will assist in the daily production of the Mechanical Department in order to achieve production figures, and produce high quality vehicles in line with Customer standards.
Responsibilities- Examine assigned vehicles to determine if safety or service work is required.
- Conduct road test to determine work needed.
- Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on the vehicle
- Assist and help fellow technicians in the shop with vehicle diagnosis
- Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed; undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles as and when required.
- Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
- Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
- Ascertain job requirements from the job card/estimate and record all time taken against the repair.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and that all Company procedures are followed.
- Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
- Assist with general workshop loading as and when required.
- Help other technicians and assist with training new members of staff.
- City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 Qualifications or equivalent are essential
- Previous experience in a similar role minimum of 2 years
- Flexible to work overtimes on agreed weekend staff rota
- Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years
- Contribute fully to Company initiatives, projects and processes, and support positively the aims and ambitions of the Company.
