Vehicle Technician

A well-established dealership in Newport is seeking a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This position offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and long-term career prospects.

• Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience, with on-target earnings of £40,000 to £50,000+ per annum
• Overtime paid at time and a half

• Working hours:
  
  Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am to 12:30pm) paid additionally at time and a half

• Diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently
• Performing vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance according to manufacturer standards
• Reporting on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance
• Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures
• Maintaining high-quality work in a fast-paced franchise environment
• Organising workload effectively and working as part of a team under KPI targets
• Supporting colleagues in achieving service department goals

• Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• At least 1-2 years of practical workshop experience beyond qualification
• Ability to produce consistently high-quality work
• Strong team player with good organisational skills
• Driving licence with minimal points and access to a vehicle within a commutable distance of Newport
