Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician Central London £55-£60k The role
As Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will undertake a varied programme of planned and reactive property maintenance. You ll diagnose faults, identify practical solutions and complete repairs and improvement works with minimal supervision.
Working within occupied properties, you ll also be expected to communicate professionally with customers, manage your workload effectively and ensure every job is completed safely, cleanly and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive property maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve property defects and maintenance issues.
- Complete repairs, refurbishments and improvement works with minimal supervision.
- Install and repair doors, locks, skirting, architraves and other timber features.
- Undertake general first- and second-fix carpentry.
- Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, wastes and pipework.
- Diagnose leaks and complete minor plumbing repairs.
- Install and replace sanitaryware.
- Complete minor kitchen and bathroom maintenance.
- Prepare surfaces and undertake painting and decorating.
- Complete minor plaster patch repairs, silicone sealing and finishing work.
- Undertake basic brickwork, pointing and external repairs.
- Repair fences and gates.
- Complete minor roofing and guttering repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers and office-based colleagues.
- Complete electronic job sheets and reports accurately.
- Leave all working areas clean, safe and tidy.
- A minimum of five years experience in property maintenance or a multi-trade position.
- Strong practical experience across carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance.
- The ability to diagnose maintenance issues and identify effective solutions.
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Confidence completing electronic job sheets and reports.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade.
- CSCS Card.
- PASMA certification.
- IPAF certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience working within occupied residential properties.
- A good understanding of relevant health and safety requirements.
