Pump Engineer
Location:
Ideally based on Kent or East Sussex, work covering South East
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Pump Engineer with a background maintaining and repairing pumps within off-mains sewage treatment plants, pumping stations or wastewater systems?
The Role
Working across a range of off-mains drainage and wastewater systems, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing pumping equipment to keep systems operating safely and reliably.
Your work will include:- Servicing, maintaining and repairing pumps within sewage treatment plants and pumping stations
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on pumps and associated equipment
- Removing, repairing and replacing submersible sewage pumps
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
- Inspecting equipment, identifying defects and recommending remedial works
- Attending customer sites across Kent and East Sussex, with occasional travel further afield
- Completing service documentation and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety
We're particularly interested in speaking with Pump Engineers, Wastewater Engineers and Sewage Treatment Plant Engineers who have:
- Previous experience working on off-mains sewage treatment plants and wastewater pumping systems
- Hands-on experience servicing, repairing and replacing pumps
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
- Experience with submersible pumps and associated controls
- A good understanding of wastewater and sewage systems
- The ability to work independently and diagnose problems on site
- Full UK driving licence
- Qualifications such as 18th Edition, Electrical NVQ or City & Guilds, Confined Space and CSCS would be advantageous but not essential.
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
