The Role

My client is a specialist BMS design and installation company, currently looking for a qualified Electrician to join their growing team covering London and the Home Counties.

This is a field-based role focused on the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of BMS control systems across commercial, industrial and other building environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hold 18th Edition and 2391/2 Inspection & Testing, and have a valid Gold Card. BMS experience would be advantageous, although electricians with relevant installation and testing experience who are looking to develop within the BMS sector will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, wire and terminate BMS control systems, panels and associated electrical equipment.
• Carry out electrical inspection and testing in line with 2391/2 requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with 18th Edition regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and control panel drawings.
• Fault-find and rectify electrical issues associated with BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Work on a variety of commercial, industrial and building services projects across London and the Home Counties.
• Complete installation, testing and commissioning documentation accurately.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and engineers.
• Work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391/2 Inspection & Testing.
• Valid Gold Card.
• Experience with electrical installation, testing and fault finding.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Comfortable working on-site and travelling across London and the Home Counties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach.

Experience with in BMS, BEMS, HVAC controls or building services would be highly beneficial. Candidates with a strong electrical background who are interested in developing their career within the BMS industry will also be considered.
