Hales Group are delighted to be working for their client; a growing business, committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are looking for an experienced and skilled MET Technician to join our team in Norfolk and play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.

The Role

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient removal and refitting of mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide range of products. Working closely with other teams, you will ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and in line with manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components on various vehicles.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults relating to vehicle systems following repair.
  • Carry out vehicle stripping and rebuilding activities to support body repairs.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Work collaboratively with panel technicians, painters, and workshop management.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Accurately complete job records and repair documentation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an MET Technician within a body-shop or accident repair environment.
  • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment confidently and effectively.
  • Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence due to rural location.
