Slinger Signaller - Construction Project

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Slinger Signaller to join our team on a new build food manufacturing project in North Tawton, EX20 2EB
. You will play a vital role in directing Telehandler operations, ensuring loads are lifted, moved, and positioned safely and efficiently on site. As this will only take up 10% of your time other duties will include, assisting pipe fitters and mechanical fitters with mechanical installation along with other general site duties for which training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
- Attaching and detaching loads to the telehandler using slings and other lifting accessories
- Directing telehandler operators using clear hand signals and/or radio communication
- Inspecting lifting equipment and accessories before use, reporting any defects
- Assessing loads to determine the safest lifting method
- Maintaining clear communication with the telehandler driver, site team, and other banksmen
