Position: Vehicle Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic
Location: Bunwell

Straight Forward Recruitment are looking for an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic to join our reputable client's friendly, family-run independent body shop in Attleborough.
£16.00 – £18.00 per hour | Permanent | Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per Week

The successful candidate will work on a variety of cars and vans, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard.

Permanent, full-time position
Monday to Friday only
8:00am – 4:30pm
40 hours per week
No weekend work

Duties of the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician include:
Carrying out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
Completing mechanical repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately
Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance
Inspecting vehicles and identifying faults or potential issues
Working on a range of cars and vans
Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard
Maintaining accurate records of work carried out
Ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workshop environment
Working effectively as part of a friendly and supportive team
Requirements for the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician role:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on cars and vans
Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment
Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, hardworking and professional approach
Good communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
