Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: North West Region - Liverpoool and surrounding
Salary: £45,000 per annum + Door to Door Pay + Overtime and Enhancements OTE of c £65,000 per annum + Company Car
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm + Optional Overtime - no weekend work or night shifts.

Bolt Technical are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global FMCG business, for a hands-on Field Service Engineer to join its growing field service engineering team of 30 in the UK.

You ll play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.

Enjoy a Monday Friday working pattern with regionally focused assignments, meaning minimal nights away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, repair, and maintain food processing and packaging machinery.

Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.

Provide on-site support and technical expertise to customers.

Maintain accurate records of service, maintenance, and repairs.

Work autonomously across a regional customer base while collaborating with the wider technical team.

What They re Looking For:

Qualified multi-skilled engineer with experience in the FMCG or food production sectors

Electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred

Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motor control systems

Experience with PLCs and Ladder Logic is advantageous

Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

Full, valid UK driving licence required

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, 'can-do' attitude

Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum OTE of circa £65,000

Optional overtime available (£50/hour on weekends, 1.5x standard rate before 8:30am and after 5:30pm).

Monday Friday schedule no weekend work or night shifts.
