Working Hours:

7:30am - 6:00pm, with 10 hours paid
Duration:  Friday 11th September - Monday 21st September 2026

Barker Ross Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced NVQ Level 3 Carpenter for a temporary assignment on a construction site in Brighton.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a construction environment and will be confident undertaking carpentry, handyman and general site duties in line with approved drawings and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out blockwork breakout

* Installing V-mesh and timber hoarding in accordance with approved temporary works drawings

* Installing and maintaining hole protection

* Walkway management

* Carrying out general carpentry and handyman duties as required

* Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Essential Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or relevant Handyman qualification

* Valid Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card required

* Previous carpentry and handyman experience within a construction environment

* Ability to read and work from approved temporary works drawings

* Valid Right to Work in the UK

* Share code, where applicable

* Availability for the full duration of the assignment
Required PPE:

* Hi-vis vest

* Hard hat

* Safety boots

* Gloves

* Safety glasses
Additional Information:

* Parking is available on site

* Candidates are advised to check their travel arrangements to BN2 before applying
