Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Swindon, Wiltshire £35,000 – £40,000 Basic + Bonus An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a well-established independent automotive business in the Swindon area. With multiple sites across the region, you’ll be based at one location as part of a professional and supportive workshop team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on a wide range of vehicles and is looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a strong focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

• £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary depending on experience

Working within a team of approximately 5-8 technicians, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work to a high standard
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing MOT tests in line with DVSA guidelines (where qualified)
• Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required
• Maintaining accurate job documentation and workshop records
• Working safely and efficiently to meet workshop deadlines
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and workshop performance

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• A valid MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential)
• A full UK driving licence
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship
