A quality workshop, Monday to Friday, with excellent earning potential

If you're an experienced Vehicle Technician who takes pride in your work and would like to work in a modern, well-equipped independent workshop, this could be an excellent opportunity.

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Vehicle Technician / Service Technician to join their growing team near Gomshall.

You’ll be joining a brand-new workshop with brand-new equipment, working on a varied mix of quality vehicles and carrying out the kind of work you'd expect from a busy independent garage.

The role offers a good balance of servicing, maintenance, sales preparation and general mechanical work, alongside some diagnostics and fault finding. There is no expectation for you to spend your days carrying out heavy mechanical jobs such as clutch replacements.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Servicing and routine maintenance
• Brake repairs and replacement
• Sales preparation and vehicle checks
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• General mechanical repairs
• Vehicle inspections
• Carrying out work to a high standard and within agreed timescales
• Working as part of a professional and efficient workshop team

The workload is varied, with plenty of standard servicing and mechanical work, making this a great fit for a technician who enjoys keeping vehicles moving rather than being tied up on major repair jobs.

We're looking for an experienced technician who is confident working independently and takes real pride in the quality of their work.

• Solid experience as a Vehicle Technician or Senior Technician
• Strong servicing and mechanical experience
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• A professional approach and high standards of workmanship
• The ability to work efficiently and manage your own workload
• Prestige vehicle experience
• Previous experience within an independent garage would be highly advantageous

This is a chance to join a modern independent workshop where you’ll have the facilities and equipment to do the job properly.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, giving you a genuine work-life balance with no regular weekend working.

On top of the basic salary, there’s also a performance-related bonus of up to £10,000 per year. The bonus is linked to workshop performance, with the target based around achieving an 85% weekly workshop throughput.

• £35,000 - £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Up to £10,000 annual bonus
• Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
• 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
• Brand-new workshop
• Brand-new equipment
• Varied workload
• No regular weekend working

If you're an experienced technician who wants to work somewhere modern, professional and well equipped, with the opportunity to earn up to £60,000, this is definitely worth a conversation.
