Seasonal Operative
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Seasonal Operative to join our Seasonal Works team based out of our Bilsthorpe Depot in Winter and our Markham Moor Depot in Summer.

What you’ll do:- Carry out seasonal maintenance tasks including grass cutting, verge maintenance, weed spraying and winter gritting.
- Follow health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use vehicles, plant, equipment and materials responsibly.
- Complete daily vehicle and plant checks, reporting any defects or damage.
- Maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively.
- Complete required paperwork, records and dynamic risk assessments in line with company procedures.
- Experience in verge maintenance and winter gritting operations.
- Cat C licence and Driver CPC (Cat C+E desirable).
- Qualified and experienced in operating maintenance plant and machinery.
- Winter maintenance and health & safety qualification.
- Competent in record keeping and dynamic risk assessments.
- Able to work independently, as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexible to work unsocial hours during the winter season (October-April).
- Good understanding of health & safety practices, including PPE and manual handling.
- First Aid qualified.
