Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Access Rep
- Scheduling for a contract/temporary opportunity in Ukiah, CA. This role is ideal for a healthcare administrative professional who enjoys helping patients navigate scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and access to care in a fast-paced medical environment.
The Patient Access Rep
- Scheduling plays an important role in supporting patient medical and financial clearance, coordinating wellness program appointments, and serving as a key communication link between patients, scheduling teams, physicians, physician office staff, and internal departments. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, meaningful patient interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, team-focused healthcare setting where accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service are highly valued.
- Coordinate and schedule patient care for wellness programs while maintaining accurate scheduling records and database information.
- Answer high volumes of incoming calls, respond to physician referral inquiries, and provide professional front desk coverage as needed.
- Facilitate communication between patients, scheduling staff, physicians, physician office teams, patient clients, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with patient financial services to help ensure appropriate authorizations are obtained according to policy and procedure.
- Submit retro-authorization documentation when appropriate and assist with filing appeals for denied services.
- Support wellness program communications, including newsletters, website updates, promotional flyers, training participation, and other assigned duties.
- Pay: $29.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule:
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. - Workweek: 5 x 8-hour shifts.
