Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards and best practices. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and collect relevant patient data to inform care planning.
• Develop and implement individual care plans based on patient assessments.
• Coordinate care delivery among multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.
• Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and supervise staff performance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Preferred possession of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• ACLS certification required; PALS preferred or attainable during contract.
