Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care for labor and delivery patients, ensuring safe and effective delivery processes. Oversees and collaborates with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient status and gather relevant clinical data to inform care strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote wellness during labor and delivery.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum care, and neonatal health.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless transition and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Current nursing license in the state of practice.
• At least two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Valid BLS and neonatal resuscitation (NRP) certifications.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with Level 2 NICU care and fetal monitoring.
• Ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes clinical situations.
