AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We re the people who keep the cloud running and we support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continuous access for customers. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

You ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. This team operates 24/7 and may require work shifts longer than 8 hours to support continuous operations.

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents. Escalate to senior technicians and management as needed.
• Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in cramped and/or elevated locations; bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day; ascending/descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
• Work in a noisy environment; shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
• Travel to data centers and work across multiple facilities as needed, including during training or transition to a new site.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until a facility is operational.
• Travel frequency varies based on business needs and facility status.
• Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required.

Basic — High school or equivalent diploma; 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience; ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Preferred — Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system; experience working in a data center environment; an Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, networking engineering); understanding of network design, protocols and layer 1/2 troubleshooting.

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
