Description
Join our dynamic AWS team and become a guardian of global cloud infrastructure. You’ll help maintain the heartbeat of AWS’s data center operations, supporting millions of businesses and services worldwide.
Key responsibilities- Perform server rack installations, hardware fault repair on various components, troubleshoot network issues, respond to operational incidents impacting service availability, and carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs to contribute to overall AWS service availability.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process-improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
- Assist with interviewing, training, and onboarding new team members.
- Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds.
- Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
- Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching; standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- Work in an industrial environment and shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.
- Travel and/or relocation may be required for training or operational needs.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training or until an assigned facility is operational.
- Travel frequency varies based on business needs and facility status.
- Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required.
Shift work including days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Basic Qualifications- Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
- 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience in an IT-related field.
- Industry-standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
- Understanding of Linux or similar operating systems.
- Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
- Experience training and onboarding new team members.

Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is listed below. Your package may include sign-on payments and RSUs.
