We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers continuously connected to the services they rely on.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix, and component troubleshooting.
• Conduct network diagnostics and respond to operational incidents affecting service availability.
• Carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating‑system repairs to maintain overall availability.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on‑call duties and scheduled maintenance and change‑management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process‑improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help interview, train, and onboard new team members.
• Travel to and work across multiple data‑center locations as required.

Physical requirements:

• Lift and move up to 40 lbs, work in cramped or elevated locations, bend, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours.
• Operate ladders, stairs, gangways safely; work shifts longer than 8 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in an industrial environment; attend frequent travel, including distances over 50 miles during training.

Basic qualifications:

• 1+ years of computer‑networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating‑system experience.
• Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 18+ months of computer/server‑hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field (preferred).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in a data‑center environment—racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot‑cold aisle containment.
• Experience with cabling‑infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Industry certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
• Understanding of Linux or similar operating systems.
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
• Experience training and onboarding of new team members.
• Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while following health & safety guidelines.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
