Data Center Physical Security Specialist, AMER-W ASSET

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Physical Security Team is looking for a Data Center Security Specialist with experience in critical infrastructure installations, ideally data centers. The specialist will drive operational security excellence in a control room setting, supporting on‑site security by completing remote tasks via a chat/phone system, monitoring systems, and identifying physical security vulnerabilities.

• Support daily operations of Data Centers/colo environments by completing remote security tasks involving security systems and access control.
• Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance security vigilance and effectiveness.
• Use workflow ticketing systems and develop performance metrics.
• Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
• Work various shifts (Day, Mid, Evening/Overnight) as required for 24x7 operation.
• Require US Citizenship or equivalent status (Gov Cloud region).

• Experience with access control and CCTV systems.
• 6+ months of security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
• Additional education or training in security‑related fields is a plus.

• Experience in a leadership role.
• College degree (Bachelors) or background in Military, Law Enforcement, TSA Security Screening, or Correctional Facility Officer.
• 2+ years of security experience or equivalent.
