DescriptionInstalls and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery, and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding knowledge is required, with the ability to read schematics in all related areas.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Computer skills:
Experience with computers and basic keyboarding skills.
Language skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages. Ability to work with the metric system.
Reasoning ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in changing situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to make accurate and timely decisions in a stressful environment.
