- Perform all duties of Electric Mechanic “B”
- Performs size changes on all production lines
- Executes the preventive maintenance program schedule to avert production and equipment failures and downtime
- Performs troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoots AC/DC electrical circuits
- Troubleshoots single phase and 3-phase power
- Read and interpret hard wire schematics
- Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot and program PLC's
- Assist in the training of the Electrical Mechanic in Training and B level Electric Mechanic
- Perform and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Education and/or ExperienceVocational/Technical certificate or A.A Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and able to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
This position is in a plant environment where the employee will occasionally be exposed to year round weather conditions, fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee will on occasion be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, and vibration. The noise level in the plant is usually loud; proper personal protective equipment will be worn in given plant areas and when essential job function necessitates.
Safety/ Total Housekeeping Management (THM)
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Maintain designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plant's THM/Safety policy.
