You'll work closely with our machinists, programmers, and quality team to ensure customer orders are delivered on time while meeting our high-quality standards. This position requires a hands-on leader who understands precision machining and can balance production demands with employee development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing professional ready to take ownership of shop floor operations in a growing precision machine shop serving aerospace, medical, and automotive industries.##
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage daily production schedule across all machines
* Allocate resources effectively to meet delivery commitments
* Monitor production progress and adjust priorities as needed
* Lead and develop a team of CNC machinists and operators
* Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
* Work with Sales and Engineering on job quoting and planning
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
* Manage capacity planning and equipment utilization
* Coordinate with Quality on inspection schedules and priorities
* Address production issues and implement corrective actions
* Maintain safe work environment and enforce safety procedures
* Track and report on key production metrics (OTD, efficiency, scrap)
* Support new equipment implementation and process development## Requirements
* 7+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
* Strong understanding of CNC machining operations
* Experience with production scheduling and ERP systems
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong communication skills for all levels of organization
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
* Computer proficiency including ERP, scheduling, and Microsoft Office
* Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred##
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in aerospace or medical device manufacturing
* Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
* Experience with capacity planning and production analytics
* Background as a machinist or programmer
* Experience implementing lean manufacturing initiatives## Benefits & Perks
